We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team remotely (North America or UK). As a Data Analyst at Pin Drop, you will play a crucial role in helping us make data-driven decisions that shape the future of our geolocation-based platform. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights, optimize business strategies, and support various teams such as product, marketing, and sales. Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection and Cleaning: Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy, preparing it for analysis.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive strategic decisions across the company, including product development, marketing, and sales.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Create clear, compelling reports, dashboards, and visualizations that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders, enabling them to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to understand their data needs and provide insights that support their objectives.
  • A/B Testing and Experimentation: Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to optimize product features, user engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Data-Driven Strategy: Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies by providing recommendations based on thorough analysis and insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data processes, tools, and systems to enhance data quality and efficiency.

Skills We're Looking For

  • Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools: Strong experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Data Visualization Expertise: Proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms to create insightful and interactive dashboards.
  • Experience with Statistical Analysis: Knowledge of statistical methods and hypothesis testing to analyze data trends and correlations.
  • Familiarity with Data Warehousing: Experience working with data warehouses and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Strong Understanding of Metrics and KPIs: Ability to define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of various initiatives.
  • Experience in A/B Testing and Experimentation: Ability to design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to optimize product features and user experience.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $70,000+ per year, depending on experience and skills. This competitive base reflects the importance of data-driven decision-making in shaping our growth strategy.
  • Performance Bonuses: Up to 10% of the base salary, based on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data accuracy, insights delivered, and business impact.
  • Equity Options: 0.01% to 0.1% equity, providing an opportunity to have a stake in the company’s growth and success.
