Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team in Austin, TX. As an SDR, you will be the front line of our sales process, responsible for generating and qualifying leads, identifying new business opportunities, and driving growth for our geolocation-based platform. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can operate independently, take initiative, and thrive in a dynamic startup environment. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to execute outreach strategies, engage potential customers, and build a robust sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Identify, research, and target potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking.
  • Qualification of Leads: Conduct initial qualification calls to understand potential customers’ needs, pain points, and fit with our product.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring consistent follow-up and nurturing to move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Outreach Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and execute effective outreach strategies, campaigns, and messaging to engage target prospects.
  • Data Management: Accurately input, update, and manage all customer data and interactions in the CRM system, providing regular updates on progress and key metrics.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather and provide feedback from prospects and customers to the product and marketing teams to refine our offerings and messaging.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and our product’s unique value proposition to effectively communicate with prospects.

Skills We're Looking For

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects and build rapport quickly.
  • Strong Research and Prospecting Skills: Ability to research, identify, and prioritize potential leads and decision-makers in target industries.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage and track leads, opportunities, and sales activities.
  • Basic Sales Techniques: Familiarity with basic sales techniques and frameworks (e.g., SPIN Selling, MEDDIC, BANT) to qualify and engage leads.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with excellent time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using sales engagement tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, SalesLoft) and adapting to new technologies.
  • Data-Driven: Ability to analyze data, understand sales metrics, and use insights to optimize outreach strategies and improve performance.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $30,000+ per year, depending on experience and skills. This lower base reflects the substantial earning potential through commission.
  • Commission Structure: 50% of the first year’s subscription amount for any sales made, with no cap on potential earnings. This highly attractive commission rate allows SDRs to earn significantly based on their performance and volume of sales closed.
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): Potential OTE could range from $80,000+ per year, but high performers can exceed these amounts significantly due to the generous, uncapped commission structure.
  • Equity Options: 0.01% to 0.05% equity, providing an opportunity to have a stake in the company’s growth and success.
