Attach photos, videos and files

A pin holds far more than a location. Photos, video and documents can sit on the pin itself, so the evidence lives with the place rather than in a folder someone has to go hunting for.

Add photos and video to a pin

1. Open the pin you want to add to
2. Choose the files to upload

Video now plays inside the app, full screen, with scrubbing, so nobody has to download a clip just to see what is on it.

Files on paid plans

Document attachments are a paid feature. The usual use is a site drawing, a signed form, a delivery note or a spec sheet kept on the pin where it belongs.

How uploads behave

• Photos hold the order you added them in
• An upload in progress survives closing the app and carries on where it stopped
• Queued, uploading and failed states are shown plainly, with a retry on anything that failed
• Remove a photo and the cover image falls back to the next one

Media on a visit rather than a pin

Photos, video and files can also be attached to a visit. That ties them to a moment rather than to the place, which is what you want for an inspection or a delivery. See Visits and notes.
