For Travel
Save the ideas before you go, find your way around once you are there, and keep the places worth remembering. Your trip lives on one map, from the first pin to the last.
Free to use · Unlimited pins and tags
Somewhere you're about to go
A restaurant a friend swears by. A viewpoint from a video you half remember. The place the article said not to miss. Drop them on the map before you go and the trip starts to take shape on its own.
Plan
Save ideas from wherever you find them and see them laid out together. On the web you can jump the map to anywhere you are headed and look around before you go, so the trip takes shape without a written itinerary.
Save from links, screenshots and photos
Tag them: eat, stay, maybe, must
Route up to four stops and follow it

Explore
Everything you saved sits on the map as you move, so the good stuff is never more than a glance away. Find something new, drop a pin and keep going.

Remember
The photo you took there, the reason you loved it, the name you would never remember otherwise. It all stays on the pin, not scattered across your camera roll.

Try it yourself
You will get it faster by clicking around than reading about it. Open a live map, real places and a route to follow, with nothing to set up.

FAQS
Can I add places after I've been somewhere?
Yes. You can drop pins and add notes or photos at any time, even after the trip is over.
Can I import places I've already saved?
Yes. You can bring in existing places from Google Maps so nothing is lost.
Does it work while travelling?
Yes. Pin Drop is designed to be useful on the move, helping you see what’s nearby and keep track as you go.
Is Pin Drop free?
Yes. Pin Drop is free to use, with unlimited pins and tags. Paid plans add more, but everything shown on this page works on the free plan.
Does it work on desktop as well as my phone?
Yes. Pin Drop works on your phone and on the web, kept in sync, so you can plan on a laptop and pick it up on your phone as you travel.
Does it plan a route between my stops?
Yes. You can line up to four stops into a route and follow it in the app, so a day plans itself.
Can I share a trip with the people I'm going with?
Yes. You can share a read-only link to a place or a whole list, so the people you are travelling with can see everywhere you have saved without signing up.
Does it work offline?
You can drop pins without a signal and they sync when you are back online. Full offline maps are not available yet, so we do not promise downloading a whole area for offline use.
