Is my map private?
Yes. Your personal map is private by default and your data is not shared unless you choose to share it.
Is it free?
Yes. Dropping pins, tagging them and importing your places are free and unlimited. Paid plans add things built for teams, like shared maps and reporting.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time if you want access to more powerful planning tools. Everything you’ve saved stays exactly where it is.
Can I bring my places over from Google Maps or Mapstr?
Yes. Import from Google Maps, Mapstr, spreadsheets, your contacts and your photos, with no limit, and your places stay yours to take with you if you ever move on.
Do you show ads or sell my data?
No. Pin Drop does not show ads and we do not sell your personal data.
Who can see the places I save?
Only you, until you choose to share. Send a read-only link to a pin or a list, or embed a map in a page. Nothing is public by default.
Are there limits on how many places I can save?
No. You can keep saving places to your map as it grows over time. Pin Drop is designed to be something you build up and come back to, not something you outgrow.
How is it different from Google My Maps?
My Maps draws a static map you have to keep redrawing. Pin Drop keeps the place itself: the photos, the tags and everything you have added, in one record you actually come back to.
