See where you have been

Pin Drop can show the places you have visited, using the Visited Places feature built into your iPhone. Turn it on once and your recent visits appear in Pin Drop, ready to review or save as pins. Places visited is available on iOS only.

Before you start

Places visited relies on Apple's Visited Places, which your iPhone records through Apple Maps. You will need:

• An iPhone running iOS 26 or later
• Location Services turned on, with Precise Location allowed for Maps
• Visited Places turned on in Settings > Apps > Maps > Location

Turn on places visited in Pin Drop

1. Open Pin Drop and go to Organise.
2. Scroll across the cards at the top and tap Places visited.
3. Switch on Track places visited.

Your visits then appear under Recent visits. If you have only just turned on Visited Places on your iPhone, give it some time. Visits show up once your iPhone has recorded them.

What happens to your data

Pin Drop identifies the places you visit using on-device processing. Your visit data is stored locally on your iPhone and is never sent to Pin Drop's servers. A place only leaves your device when you choose to drop a pin there.

Turn it off

You can stop at any time. Go back to Organise, open Places visited and switch off Track places visited. To stop your iPhone recording visits altogether, turn off Visited Places in Settings > Apps > Maps > Location.

Places visited is a private record of where your iPhone has been. It is separate from check-ins, which you record against a pin. For those, see Visits and notes.
