Holiday & Christmas Light Installation

Every install, every takedown, on one map.

Holiday lighting runs on a six-week window and a few hundred rooflines. Pin every property with last year's design, the photos and the crew, so year two starts from a map instead of somebody's memory.

A short season, and no time to rediscover the job.

Holiday lighting is a compressed business. Most of the year's installs land between early October and the first week of December, across single-family homes, HOA entrances, storefronts and municipal displays. The crews doing them are often the same crews who mowed those properties in July. Every property is different. Which rooflines are lit, how many feet of C9 run along the gutter, which trees get wrapped, where the only working exterior outlet is, whether the roof is tile and needs a different ladder. That detail is what makes year two profitable, and it is usually the thing that gets lost. It lives on a bin label, in a photo on a foreman's phone and in whoever ran the crew last November. Pin every property with its design, its photos, its footage and its hazards, and the season stops being a rebuild. The crew arrives knowing what goes up and where it plugs in. A service call in December opens the same pin. Takedown in January runs the same route backwards. And the map does not sit idle for nine months, because it is the same map the maintenance side runs all summer.

Built for the season

Last year's design, on the address.

Photos of the finished install, the footage run along each roofline, the clip type, the timer setting and the bin the kit lives in, all held on the property pin. Quoting the renewal takes minutes, and the crew builds it the same way twice.

When something goes dark

Service calls without the guesswork.

A customer rings in December because half the roofline is out. The pin already holds the circuit, the outlet location and the photos from install week, so whoever is nearest can be sent straight there and fix it without a first visit spent working out what was fitted.

When the season turns

Takedown, and the rest of the year.

January runs the same map in reverse, recording what came down and which bin it went into, so storage matches the property. Then the same map carries the mowing rounds, the feeding visits and the leaf clean-ups, which is what makes it worth keeping between seasons.

FAQS

Questions people ask

How does Pin Drop help holiday and Christmas light installers?

Pin Drop turns every property you light into a pin on one shared map. Keep last year's design, the finished photos, the footage run along each roofline, the outlet location and the ladder notes on the address, then share the map with the crews by role so install week runs from the same picture in the office and on the truck.

Can we bring our existing properties and designs into Pin Drop?

Yes. Import your customer list from a spreadsheet or another tool, organise the properties into shared maps and add photos, notes and visits against each pin. It syncs across mobile and desktop, and exports again whenever you want it.

Does it work out in the field?

Yes. Crews pick up the right property on a shared map, see what goes up and where it plugs in, and add photos and notes from the driveway as they go. It keeps working with no signal and syncs when the truck is back in range.

Can we control who sees each property and job?

Yes. Share maps by role so each person sees the properties and detail relevant to them. Managers get the full season while a seasonal crew sees only the route assigned to them, which matters when you take on extra people for eight weeks.

How much does Pin Drop cost for holiday lighting teams?

Pin Drop is billed per seat for business use, with a 14 day trial that takes no card. The free plan is for personal use, so a crew running installs starts on the trial or a paid plan. See the pricing page for current plans. Support is not a paid upgrade: every plan gets a response from the team within one business day.
