Pin Drop vs Monday.com
monday.com is a genuinely flexible Work OS, with boards, automations and CRM that scale from a two-person team to a global enterprise. Pin Drop takes a narrower slice of the same job, giving every location its own pin so field and territory work can be seen and run on a map rather than a list.
Every site has a pin.
Visit history, notes and photos live on the place itself, not buried in a board.
Territories drawn by hand.
Draw coverage on the map with a named owner, so overlap and gaps are visible at a glance.
Check-in and check-out capture themselves.
Notes and photos attach to the pin automatically when a visit happens.
Routes hand off to apps you already use.
Traffic-aware multi-stop routes open in Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze.
Where monday.com fits, and where the map takes over.
monday.com is a Work OS used by more than 245,000 organisations, and it earns that reach. Its boards, automations and dashboards let a team build almost any workflow, from sales pipelines to product roadmaps, without writing code.
Pricing runs Basic, Standard, Pro and Enterprise, with paid seats starting around $9 per seat a month on Basic and rising to around $19 per seat a month on Pro when billed annually. Every paid plan carries a three-seat minimum and Enterprise is quote only, so exact figures are worth checking on the day.
monday.com even has a Location column and a Map view, available from the Standard plan up, so a board can be plotted on a map when needed.
That is the honest limit of it though. The map there is one view of a board, generated after the data has already been entered as rows, and monday.com itself notes it lacks native route optimisation, leaning on third-party integrations for that part of the job.
Pin Drop turns that around. Every site starts as a pin holding its own visit history, notes and photos, so the record exists at the place before anyone opens a board.
Territories are drawn by hand with named owners, coverage and overlap are visible without a filter, and check-in and check-out capture notes and media against the pin automatically as a visit happens.
Used together, monday.com keeps running the wider workflow of tasks, approvals and cross-team dashboards, while the map handles the part of the job that happens out among real addresses.
