Why aren't my pins showing up on the web or in the app?

If you've added pins on your phone but they're not appearing on the web (or vice versa), this is usually a sync issue. Here's what to check.

Give it a moment

Pin Drop syncs your data across devices automatically, but it can take a few seconds — especially if you've just added a lot of pins or have a slow connection. Wait a moment, then refresh the page or pull down on the map to trigger a sync.

Make sure you're signed in to the same account

This is the most common cause. If you created an account on your phone using Apple Sign In, you need to sign in with the same Apple ID on the web. If you used Google, use the same Google account on both. Your pins are tied to your account, so using a different login method will show a different (empty) account.

On the web app

If your pins are visible on your phone but not on pindropapp.com:

  • Refresh the page
  • Sign out and sign back in
  • Check that you're viewing the correct map or group (if you use multiple maps)

On the mobile app

If your pins are visible on the web but not in the app:

  • Pull down on the map to force a refresh
  • Close the app fully and reopen it
  • Check your internet connection — Pin Drop needs to be online to sync
